Silicon Connection has been a corporate sponsor of World
Vision's Child Sponsorship Program since 2003 (www.worldvision.org.sg).
Every one of our full time employees in Silicon Connection
adopts a child from various parts of the poorer world. Our
adopted kids includes those from Vietnam , Cambodia , Myanmar
, Mangolia and Southern Africa .
Silicon Connection's management and investors are committed
in setting aside a portion of our company earnings to support
charities and to spread our joy in helping the community.

Silicon Connection contributed S$200 to Handicaps Welfare Association (HWA), by participating in “Wheel, Walk or Jog 2008” Event
to be held on 6 July 2008 at Botanic Garden.
We want to thank Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, who is the main corporate sponsor, for inviting us to
participate in this fund raising event.
Handicaps Welfare Association (HWA) is a non-profit organization committed to enhance the quality of life of people with physical disabilities and integrate them into mainstream society.

As a corporate sponsor of World Vision's Child Sponsorship Program, employees of Silicon Connection pulled together and donated some gifts to various less developed countries for the Christmas Season.
Our gifts includes:
Quilt blankets, sandals, winter jackets, medical kit, school uniforms, school shoes, mosquito net, warm pullovers...etc.
August 2007
We made a S$450 donation to Dover Park Hospice on 7th August 2007. Dover Park Hospice was founded by a group of concerned Singaporeans in 1992 to be secular and charitable hospice with the mission “To provide comfort, relief of symptoms and palliative care to patients with advanced disease regardless of age, race or religion, and to support the grieving families.” Our donation will be use for financial assistance for patients with terminal illnesses.

Silicon Connection made a S$860 donation to the Ju Eng Home for Senior Citizens.
Ju Eng Home is a nursing home for the poor, elderly, frail and sick senior citizens.
Our donation wiil be used for purchasing of high back wheel chairs as most elderly tends to fall asleep while sitting
and the high back wheel chair will provide them with more comfort as they can lean back and rest.

Silicon Connection donated $840.00 on 17th Feb to the Moral Home for the Disabled (established by Thye Hua Kwan Moral Society).
This charity organization supports about 50 different welfare services.Our donation goes to taking care of intellectually disabled children, in particular those without parental support or those whose parents cannot support them.

Christmas is the season for giving and remembering the less fortunate. Employees of Silicon Connection band together and donated part of their year end bonuses to the children from the less developed countries.
The long list of practical gifts we sponsored includes:
T-shirts & shorts, mosquito nets, school uniforms, three months food & care pack for a family in winter, warm clothing, and a schoolbag with school supplies. July 2006
We made a S$700 donation to the Community Chest of Singapore
in support of children requiring early intervention programs,
eg autisic children, spastic children and children from broken
families.

Silicon Connection donated $300 to Muslim Missionary Society
of S'pore in support of Jamiyah Orphanage. One of our employee
is also a volunteer for that Children's Home.

basketball team's jersey.
WOW! is a non profit and volunteer welfare organization
to help problematic teenagers age between 12 to 18 years
old.

Silicon
Connection staff donates $1,000 to Tsunami victims.
Dubbed as the "disaster of the century", The Tsunami hit
close to Singapore on the shores of Indonesia , Thailand
, Malaysia , Sri Lanka , India and other coastal areas within
India Ocean . This happened after a massive under water earthquake
of magnitude 9.0 rocked the west coast of Indonesia on 26
th Dec 2004.
The world is greatly saddened by the immense suffering inflicted
on our neighbouring countries.
As a show of support for the victims, Silicon Connection
and employees manage to quickly pool together a humble sum
of $1,000 and donated it to the Sri Lanka Embassy on 31 st
Dec 04.
